Crispy Plant Based Bites with Spicy Peanut Hoisin Sauce

Cooking Time:  30 minutes   |  Yields:  24 bites

Ingredients you’ll need:

For the Sauce

  • 2 Tablespoons of Hoisin Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon of Peanut Butter
  • 1 Teaspoon of Sriracha Sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon of Rice Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon of Lime Juice


Step 1:  Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat 

Step 2:  Cook the Zoglo’s Incredible™ Grain Burger for 3 minutes on each side. Set aside to cool

Step 3:  Make the sauce by adding the hoisin sauce, peanut butter, sriracha rice vinegar and lime juice to a small bowl (Be sure to mix well!)

Step 4:  Cut each burger into 6 even triangular pieces

Step 5:  Prepare (according to package directions) one sheet of rice paper at a time. When done, lay it flat onto a cutting board and cut in half

Step 6:  Place a piece of the Zoglo’s Incredible™ Grain Burger in the centre of the rice paper half-moon and wrap it into a tight triangular shape

Step 7:  Place it onto a plate. Repeat steps 5-7 until all the pieces have been wrapped

Step 8:  Heat 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, fry the bites for a minute on each side or until golden and crispy. (For the best results, fry the bites in batches and add more oil if needed!)

Step 9:  Place the bites onto a serving platter

Step 10:  Top with a teaspoon of sauce and garnish with micro-greens
