So Here’s What You Missed At This Year’s CHFA NOW

Hey readers!

So last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Canadian Health Food Association’s annual Natural Organic Wellness Conference and Trade Show in Toronto with Zoglo’s and the Tree of Life Team.

Conveniently located at Exhibition Place, I printed my badge, brought a photo ID and was well on my way to CHFA NOW.

After being stuck inside for three (3) long years, seeing everyone again really felt like a breath of fresh air!

I walked around, listened in on some really insightful conversations and had the opportunity to meet some new members of the Tree of Life Team!

As expected, this conference had a little bit of everything.

  • I got to listen in on Barb Stegemann’s ideas on the ways in which retail stores can commit to and capitalize on a cleaner and greener future through innovative partnerships and marketing (I mean, it worked for her company after all!)
  • I got firsthand knowledge of important regulatory updates on CBD
  • I checked out some cool plant based products that I never knew existed
  • And most importantly…I got free food

(C’mon now…you can’t expect Chef Pino to be there and have no food!)

He not only gave all on-lookers bowls of plant-based goodness, he also showed us how to make it too!

Now I'm no cook but Chef Pino really made me feel like I was on the Food Network!

He taught us the easiest way to make a plant-based hearty soup, how to determine when the Plant-based cutlet is ready and even took the time to explain culinary terms.

(Disclaimer: Before last weekend, I had no idea what “fond” was)

 He answered any and all questions that came his way and served each dish with a smile.

Needless to say I’ll definitely be replicating those recipes this weekend. I mean…just LOOK at the material!

After I ate my belly full, it was time to take one last group photo!

Long story short, going to the CHFA NOW Conference and Trade Show was such an amazing experience and I’d definitely go again! (I recommend that you do too!)
